2007 Copper Wire Run Results — Saturday, October 6
One of central new York's most scenic runs, the Copper Wire Run, travels the village streets of Camden to the inspiring beauty of streams and tall pines in the seclusion of Forest Park.
The Male Open winner was Jordan P. Johnson with a time of 18:47; the Female Open winner was Chandler Mellon with a time of 22.38.

The 50th Anniversary Celebration & Annual Dinner was held April 21 at Beck's Grove Restaurant & Dinner Theater.









Home & Business Show
The Third Annual Home & Business Show was held March 31 at Katie & Karl's Restaurnt, Harden Blvd., Camden.








Sweetheart Silent Auction
The 9th Annual "Sweetheart Silent Auction" was held on Saturday, February 3, 2007 at Beck's Grove & Dinner Theatre. Entertainment was provided by Crystal Colbert, and Hors d'oeurves were served.
The live auction items were the chest of drawers, Watkins Glen tickets, and a getaway weekend to Lake Placid.


5th Annual Battle of the Businesses
Camden's Chamber of Commerce held their annual "Battle of the Businesses" on Wednesday, January 24 at Liberty Lanes. The tournament consisted of four non-regulation bowling games.
Decorating Contest Winners Announced
The Camden Area Chamber of Commerce is happy to announce the winners of the 2006 Christmas Decorating Contest. The Village is absolutely beautiful and it was a very hard decision for the judging committee. Homes and businesses throughout the area added to the Spirit of Christmas with some very creative decorating. After long deliberation, the following winners were chosen. Residential Winners are the home of Virginia Armstrong of 31 Miner Ave., and Paula & Jeffrey Black of 26 Miner Ave. Business winner is Valehaven Home, 128 Main Street.
This is the 18th year the Chamber has held this contest and these winners will join past winners with their names added to the perpetual plaque displayed in the Town Hall. Each will also be presented with a beautiful individual award plaque. Thanks to all who helped make Camden A Christmas Town and Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year from the Camden Chamber.

Annual Copper Wire 5K Run
Sept. 30, 2006
The Overall Male Finisher for Camden Area Chamber of Commerce's Annual Copper Wire 5K Run on Sept. 30 was Larry Reyes of Rome, NY. The winning time was 18:25.

The CCS Cross Country Team received the 1st award in the Open Team Division with a combined time of 60:46. Participating runners included Nathan Woodcock, Wyatt McCullogh, Matt Arvidson, Chris Harris, Josh LePage, George Wing III, Joe Wisinski, Steven Baker, & Ryan Lyke.

The 1st Place Winner Captain Charles Schmidt (#280) of Camden and fellow runner & 2nd Place Winner Cliff Waas of Utica, enjoy their awards in Copper Wire 5K Run 85 & Over Division.

The Leuenberger Family takes 2nd Place in the Copper Wire 5K. Pictured are runners John & Robert Leuenberger & Laura Blake, finishing with a combined time of 77:29. Also in photo sharing the glory of her family is Dawn Leuenberger.

The 18th Annual Copper Wire 5K is definitely a family event. Picture are the Runfola Famiy: Brad competed in the 5K, both of this children ran in the One Mile Fun Run.
Ride for The Heart & Cancer Associations
A 40 mile ride was held on June 10 2006, ending at Grape & Grog.
Second Annual Chamber Trade Show
Thirty six area businesses participated in the second annual home and business trade show held at Katie and Karl's on April 5, 2006.
Businesses provided handouts and information regarding their services and there were many nice door prizes.Those that attended the show were pleased.
